When it comes to engineering careers relating to it I hear that often times people need to network and build connections but how exactly do people do that and how early can I start?

Most engineering majors in college are extremely competitive, how do I stand out?

For example, the life ten years ago is way different than the current era.

For example, what kind of skills would someone need to be recognized by google or facebook?

For example, lot of videos have lots of different styles so which adobe product would be best for all editing styles?

For example, video games have tons of bugs at times and it may vary because of the bug. But, what it is the usual estimated time for something to be fixed?

I am curious due to many people´s conflicting comments about the subject of college and if it is worth the time and money to complete it and get a degree.

I would love to know what sort of topics I should study and what courses I should consider in college for this type of work and if there are things i should know beforehand.
