I'm a 18 year old that has completed high school and has a diploma who hopes to do mechanical engineering as a career and is facing a hard choice of which college to go to for a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering.

This can also include jobs that aren't construction. What I'm looking for are all the possible jobs that having the qualifications as an operator could get you.
What can I do to become a heavy equipment operator?
The average apprenticeship program takes three to four years to complete before moving on to full-time employment as a heavy equipment operator. It should be noted that apprenticeships are an "earn as you learn" program.
