What should I do if I'm part of a collegiate dance program and want to become a professional at ballet?

I'm in my freshman year of college and feel unsure about my career path. I want to be a professional dancer and become a physical therapist later in life. I am currently Physical Therapy Technician Certified (PTTC), and I've been struggling to find a job.

Do you think I could be a dance physical therapist if I minor in dance and major in Musculoskeletal and Integumentary Systems?

I've been a dancer all my life and I want to help dancers take care of their bodies and dance for longevity. Physical therapy was what I was thinking for that. :)

Why is it so embarrassing to start a sport?

Hi, I'm 14 and thinking of trying a sport, but it feels a bit embarrassing when I see younger kids who've been at it longer and are better. Any advice on this? Thinking about ballet, horseback riding, or karate.

Should I keep dancing to get into college?

A loaded question, for sure. I've been dancing ballet since I was four and really loved it for most of my life. Like, really loved it - so much so that I moved across the country to live with my dance teacher and did online school in order to dance full time. But after two insanely amazing and horrifically difficult years I have decided that dance is not what I want to pursue professionally; it's just too volatile a profession for me. I have moved back home and am back in regular high school in the IB program, and it's super time-consuming and difficult. Should I keep on devoting 20+ hours a week of my life to ballet, knowing that I have no intention of making it my career, in hopes that it makes me stand out to colleges? Should I quit? #ballet #college #college-admissions

As a ballet student with big dreams is it possible to go to college while still being in a professional company?

I am a 14 year old freshman in high school and I am being asked this question a lot, but I never know how to answer. I go to an arts school in the Bay Area and I train at professional ballet school that I directly connected to a company. I dance 6 days a week for close to 5 or 6 hours a day. #classical-ballet #ballet #dance #ballet-dancer #dancing

What classes are the best classes to take in college if i want to own my own dance school?

I am a dancer and I've been dancing since age 4. I love dance and i love children. I feel that dancing is a positive way of expression. I live in Far Rockaway, Queens and not a lot of people have lots of money to pay for professional dance classes for there children so they don't introduce it to them. I want to make affordable dance classes for my neighborhood and create more change in my community. #business #finance #management #entrepreneurship #dance #dance-education #ballet
