Is it okay to pick a major that does not have a lot of job opportunities in the state you live in?

My current major is Apparel Merchandising and Product Development and with me being in Ohio, the jobs can be limited because it is not one of the larger, more fashion driven states. Would it be too risky to stick with it , and chance the possibility of relocating? #career #career-counseling

What is the best way to determine if your major is the best major for you?

I recently thought I found the perfect major and minor. I was really excited to finally go from undecided to declaring my current major/minor, Apparel Merchandising and Product Development/Marketing. I was glad to finally share my decision with family and friends, only to have them make me...

Do most people that become audiologists go to school full-time or part-time after graduating from college?

I am planning to get a master's degree in speech pathology and am then considering continuing on to become an audiologist. I was wondering if most people continue to work as a speech pathologist while attending additional classes to become an audiologist or if they go to school full-time...

Are the requirements for becoming a speech pathologist the same in every state?

I am planning to study speech pathology, and I know you need to have a master's degree in most states in order to practice. I am wondering if that is the case for all states or if some require additional education or a test to become certified to practice. #speech-pathology #audiologist

For anyone who has been/is pre-med: How many years into college did you learn you wanted to go pre-med? What experiences or classes in college made you decide pre-med? How many years (undergrad and med-school) did it end up taking?

I'm possibly interested in pre-med, but am wondering if it is best to go into it directly, or if it is possible to go into it in say, my second year of college and how that may affect my time in school. Thanks! #doctor #medicine #pre-med #medical-school #undergraduate
