Hello I am a senior about to graduate high school, and I recently applied to go to Purdue. I am pursuing Mechanical Engineering and wanted to know what I should understand prior to going into my first year?

I will be attending Purdue University for mechanical engineering starting autumn 2025. I wish to find an internship that will teach me and advance my career whilst also allowing me to prioritize my university classes.
