Like is it worth it to go to medical school and become a doctor or surgeon

so im 14 and im scared for my future. even though getting a job is happening far from now im still scared. i dont want to waste my life doing something i dont like.

specifically math. specifically geometry.

Should I go for pre-med or just biology/chemistry degrees? What are the steps it takes to become a surgeon? Is it the same as being a regular physician?

Furthermore, are there things I'm supposed to be doing in undergrad if I want to become a surgeon?
