Conflicted on whether i should do classics at a good university or finance and accounting at mid university ?
Im resitting my alevels in math and economics, with classics as a new alevel, i previously failed physics, honestly i would really enjoy classics but it clashes with expectations, its unconventional to my parents, who’s approval i would need to gain, but F&A is vocational and straightforward, but i would only apply to mid tier Russel groups, compared to applying to classics at ucl, kcl- even though i am a resit student. Any advice?
How can I choose high-paying A-Level subjects if I don’t want to go into medicine?
Hi! I’m currently an O-Level student studying in Riyadh at PISES, and I’ll be starting A-Levels soon. I took Biology as my main subject in O-Levels, but I’m sure that I don’t want to go into the medical field. I’m honestly very confused about what to choose next. I’m mainly interested in a career that has strong earning potential, and I’m open to learning new skills because I adapt easily. However, I don’t have any background or experience in IT, computer science, or business, so I’m not sure if those fields would be suitable for me or how hard it would be to transition into them. Since I live in Riyadh, I’d also like advice that considers job opportunities and demand in Saudi Arabia. My parents are also encouraging me to choose a career path that is financially stable and has good future prospects. What A-Level subject combinations and career paths would you recommend for someone like me who wants a high-income career, doesn’t want medicine, and is willing to learn from scratch? Thank you so much for your time and guidance!
What do I choose for my A-level choices?
I am doing my A-levels next year but I have to choose what subjects I want to do before January. I know for definite that I want to do Biology and Psychology (I'm predicted 9s for both) but my issue is I don't know whether to do Maths (predicted a 9) or Chemistry (predicted a 9). I find maths very boring but I'd say I'm quite good at it. If I did maths i'd have to do psychology at another school (not ideal). I'd do an EPQ regardless of whichever one I choose. I like chemistry and am good at it (and in general people seem to enjoy chemistry at my school); maths is a little easier for me, but I'm afraid I'll get bored of it. I know I shouldn't choose based on teachers but one of the teachers in maths is extremely boring and I have had him for the past 2 years, so the idea of having him for 2 more years puts me off it (only a little). I think both are good choices career-wise because the universities I want to go to accept both combinations although I think maths has more options for if I want to choose a different course. I want to do something biology-based, possibly neuroscience or biopsychology. Anyone who does both maths and chemistry, I'd really appreciate some advice on which to choose. I had my heart set on doing biology, psychology, maths and further maths but I realised further maths is basically irrelevant, and I know for sure I will get sick of it, so I changed my mind to doing an EPQ. I am very confused so I might talk to my english teacher because he is completely indifferent and has children who have gone through this (and I don't hate him like a lot of the others), but I wanted to see if I could get any form of help from this.
What do I need to do to become a Radiologist (Veterinary Radiologist preferably)?
I am in year 11, doing my GCSES. I want to know what A-Levels you recommend for this. I hate doing chemistry; it's one of my worst subjects yet I am not sure if I need it. I don't mind biology, and I do really enjoy physics. Please also help on what I should do for university, or if I should even go. Maybe an apprenticeship ? How many years would this take me and does anybody know the average salary? I don't want to really study for a LONG time, i want to still make money at the same time, but in a job that would help me. Anyways, please help me!
seeking advice for scholarships and work-study programs
Currently planning to do my Cambridge A levels; the Oct/Nov 2024 session.. Thinking of heading abroad for university, ideally with a fully funded scholarship—Google's not been much help. Also, I'm eyeing a mix of university and work alongside, focusing on Human Resource Management (HRM).Any tips on scholarship hunts or HRM programs that could help me fund my university journey if i couldnt find a satisfactory scholarship.Could use a hand figuring this out!<3
How do I plan my college and career ?
I'm currently doing my Cambridge alevels ( bs Econ and accounts) unfortunately I wasn't happy with the bs result and hence am planning to resit . But the marksfor my as will be carried forward to this may/June 2024 and this will lead to me having two separate result sheets . I'm worried if that'll be an obstacle while applying to a college. I'm planning to pursue HR(human resource management) imnnot quiet sure how to get started like what degree shd I do and what must I choose in college to both work and study along with it to gain experience..not sure
Which A-levels should I choose for medicine?
My GCSEs are almost done with and I have to choose my A-levels soon. I've already decided on taking biology and chemistry for my first two options, and maybe psychology as a third option because I think it's related to medicine and can help me. My fourth option is giving me quite a bit of a headache as I can't choose between physics, English and history. I'm quite good at English and perform very well, and while History is tough it is enjoyable. However, I've researched online and most websites say that universities prefer physics or maths alongside biology and chemistry, and this is a dilemma because I don't really enjoy doing physics. Certain universities also prefer a humanities subject or an essay subject to show how well rounded the applicant is, and I really don't know which subject universities would like more. Any thoughts on the subject I should pick? Or any advice about university in general? #GCSEs #Alevels #medicine #undergraduate #physics #english #history #science #surgeon #premed
