Studying Abroad (From US to UK)
I'm currently a junior in high school, and I've recently started looking into colleges out of the US and there's a few that look amazing. I just want to know other peoples' opinions and experience, whether it's a good idea, how hard it is, what I should do in preparation, basic information about the UK education system, scholarships/finances, and really just anything you think is important. I really want to study animal behaviour/ethology and horse training. There are a few colleges in the US (Findlay, Centenary, Lake Erie, Emory & Henry, MSU, ...) but not only are they much more expensive, they also only have equine degrees. I've only recently thought about animal behaviour/ethology, so I haven't been looking into colleges for that in the US. But, in the UK, the first college I looked at (Hartpury) has so many majors that I would love to take (Animal Behaviour and Welfare, Equine Science, Equestrian Sports Coaching, Equine Behaviour and Welfare, ...). It also seems so much cheaper, and I'm kind of interested in living out of the US.
How do I find a job as a stable hand ?
Hi! I graduate high school next spring and want to work as a stable hand/groomer in the Midwest/ south US. Does anyone have advice with how to find a job or any connections that might be looking for help around then? Side note: I don’t want to go to college or further school for equestrians. Also it doesn’t just have to be horses though I do prefer them. I am a hard worker and energetic and happy person. Thanks for reading!
What would my day to day look like and what would I study in my day to day, If I want to major in equine science?!
Hello! I am a junior in High school and I want to major in equine science to become an equine massage therapist,I was just wondering what exactly are the things I would be doing If I major in science?Would I have to have that degree to become a massage therapist or can I just do that course separately?! I am looking Into UF because It has an amazing program and an amazing equestrian team! Does anybody know of any other college In Fl that has equine related studies? What classes are good to take in college to be a riding instructor?
I do not know what kind of classes are out there and which ones would be right for me. :) #college #equestrian
