How can I get a business off the ground?
My parents have always encouraged me (14) to have my own business, so I when I suggested that I sell my art, they were super excited. However, due to our extremely busy lives, the idea of me owning a small business was thrown to the side for at least a year. I want to start a business, but I have no clue what to do. I have so many options, but I’m not sure which would be the most profitable. I could crochet pieces and sell them, I could make digital stickers and sell them on shirts or sweatshirts, or I could even hand-draw art pieces and sell them that way. The problem is, the website in which I plan to sell on is Etsy, which is SUPER competitive for small businesses focused on selling art. I’m not sure which path would provide the best profit or which path would interfere with my schedule the least. I need help, and fast!
What are the legal barriers I should be aware of when trying to open a small business at 14?
I understand that because I am a minor, some things will have to go through my parent, and some things I can’t do at all. But finding information for what I can and can’t do as a minor is really difficult. I know I can purchase supplies myself in person with cash, the e-commerce website profits will have to go through my parent, and lead to their bank account. But are there any taxes I should be aware of? Do I have to declare myself formally as a small business to anyone, or declare myself as a minor? Anything else on the legal checklist?
How can I study for my drivers license?
I know this doesn't really relate to jobs or anything, but I really need to prepare because my parents are pressuring me to get my license by 16 lol
As a 15 year old, how do you write a resume?
I have no job experience, a lot of volunteer experience but I don't know how to provide proof, and no government ID. Am I at a loss??
Can I say i'm 16 instead of 15 when i'm applying for a job that says 16+?
A skateboard/retail shop is currently hiring and I've been thinking of working here ever since I turned 15 since I know how to skate. I would love to have an opportunity there, but i'm 1 year under the age requirement. I'm willing to take the risk of getting in trouble, but the question is if I actually can or not.
Should I have a resume at 15 when applying for jobs? Or do I not have to worry about that until i'm older.
I'm not trying to apply for any specific job currently, but I would just like to know in general since i'll soon be looking for a way to make money during the summer.
How do I get to the career of my dreams?
