My goal as when I become an IT professional is to have financial freedom. so in the next five years will I still be ok in the IT world. I am a 9th grader at largo high school doing college classes

I am still battling with what I want to pursue after high school and engineering is at the top. Unfortunately, some of my peers don't agree and think its a waste of my time.

I live in SF and its hard to access internships and opportunities shadowing people.
