I have a high school diploma from Colombia and I would like to know my options for study a degree in USA ( currently J1 visa)

As a high school student wanting to pursue medicine but also having a love for humanities, particularly an interest in philosophy. i have considered doing a minor but with the demands of being a pre-med student I do not know if this would be the right decision as it could be a "waste of time".

I was previously given some suggestions on possible colleges and universities that might fit with what I want to do for my career. I was wondering how I should look up information on those specific recommendations or look up information on colleges and universities outside the recommendations I got.

I had a lot of options to do in the summer, but I am not sure which one I wanted to do, so I want to see others’ opinion on this particular question. It would be great if there were other options besides the two I mentioned above!

I've been trying to network with them in hopes of landing a job; however, I went to architecture school and don't really know who's willing to take in someone entry-level.

What if someone already has tons of original songs written down in their notebook, like full lyrics with melodies kinda figured out in their head — but no instruments, no devices, nothing except that notebook and maybe their sister's encouragement keeping them going? What can they actually do...

I don't know what to do. So should I wait until I am done with high school but then what. I am kinda lost now. I thought I might figure it out after knowing what career I want to go for. But....can't do it alone.
